6/9. They're SO much fun to watch! We've got Hummingbird feeders all around our deck. It's amazing how they never crash into each other as fast as they zoom around the feeders! I enjoy taking

I confess that I didn't think I knew much about them, but I do know that the male/female size in question six is only true for the smaller varieties hummingbirds. Also I would be surprised if
any hummingbird in its mating dive could exceed 40 mph: that's awfully fast. Lastly, although I may be mistaken, I believe hummingbirds live 6-12 years. Their size at birth also differs
greatly. I think the Cuban hummingbird is only a few grams whereas some South American ones get to be around 25 grams. I look forward to them every year as they seem attracted to some blue
flowers we have.
I answered the male - female one wrong, but based on my observations I wouldn't have guessed females were bigger. I guess the males look bigger because they are showier?
